Urbilog : The pioneer for Accessble Sharepoint applications
Urbilog builds accessible websites and makes existing websites accessible.
This is exactly what we did for Total's Ecotidien Intranet, an internal web-portal geared towards employees, keeping them up to date on environmental aspects of their business. Web accessibility a priority for Total, and so accordingly, they called on Urbilog.
Ecotidien was developed on SharePoint, an enterprise-level web application platform developed by Microsoft. The components of a SharePoint website or application are called "Web Parts" and with them one can manage not just content, but search engines, shared documents, bulletin boards, forms, and much more.
The particularity of Total's Ecotidien site is the heavy reliance on in-house web parts for the SharePoint components. This custom aspect greatly facilitated the possibility of making the portal accessible even though there was still the significant challenge of doing this while making no changes to the SharePoint kernel.
To achieve the accessibility of Ecotidien, Urbilog was active on three separate fronts: the global structure, the Web ¨Parts and specific components, as well as the content. Today, Ecotidien is accessible, and as a consequence of Urbilog's intervention, Ecotidien also sports the following positive attributes: respect of XHTML standards; enhanced content management; and a true separation of form and content.

Report on Sustainable Developpment
In pursuit of its aim of embracing sustainable development, the Leroy Merlin group requires each of its 126 stores to file frequent reports on their progress and programmes.
This year, the group set its sights on an application to homogenise the reports from all branches. Now, having responded to an in-depth questionnaire, a PDF version of the report is dynamically generated and proposed for download.
By means of an administration module, the heads of sustainable development at Leroy Merlin can at a glance view the whole range of reports, data and statistics.
Accessible pop-up keyboard
At last, an accessible pop-up keyboard for on-line banking security!
Urbilog, in collaboration with IBM's Human Centric Solutions, has developed the world's first pop-up security keyboard and (of course!) it is 100% accessible.
The on-line banking system in France has for years opted for the virtual keypad technique for client account log-ins. However, such virtual keyboards are prohibitively non-user friendly in terms of accessibility and multi-modal ergonomics.
Urbilog is the force behind a new line of virtual (pop-up) keypads, which are accessible and adaptable to many varied user environments. Totally secure; totally ergonomic.
BNP-Paribas is the trail blazer in being the first bank in France to adopt this great advance in security and accessibility, making the BNP the only bank with accessible on-line banking.
