Expertfixer
Expertfixer is a tool designed to help develop accessible web resources. Its target audience are those who are technically competent in web development and it functions both as an audit and as a repair tool.
Though created for checking accessibility, the standalone application has also an integrated validation model using the onsgmls program (Windows, nsgmls.exe), the official validator of the W3C.
This application was developed by Urbilog through a partner ship with IBM EMEA.
At the heart of the application is an expert system (clips), which is merged seamlessly with the rest of the Java program, thanks to a dynamic linked library also developped by Urbilog.
The use of this AI based technology (clips) allows ExpertFixer to be extremely agile and precise in auditing, but also easily augmentable for new or modified rule sets.
Currently the application runs in 6 different languages and offers the choice of five different rule sets:
- WCAG 1.0
- Section 508
- Stanca
- BITV (Germany)
- Accessiweb
And of course, in addition, full HTML and CSS validation services.
This tool is commercially available, please make enquiries via the contact form.
