The virtual keyboard is a common way for European banks to grant secure access to their online customers.

In its original form, however, it is totally inaccessible.

How to make online banking a reality for some of those who need it the most, the senior citizens or disabled for whom mobility, around town or even around the house, is a real issue.

Urbilog developped one solution to this problem, as a result of a series of small R&D projects. This solution, easily and securely integrated into any bank's online system, changes neither the look and feel nor the level of security risk for the bank.

This solution is for all banks or other financial services offering online access via a secure virtual keypad logon.

The larger aims of this tested and successful application are

• to retain the security of this well-tested logon technique while opening up a whole swathe of the market that has been hitherto unable to bank on line;
• to encourage banks and other important private entities to take accessibility seriously and feasible, with no long term costs, and major long term gains;
• to allow these institutions to propose to their clients (current and potential) a better level of online service and better security, without discrimination.
